Tin-Tin

My Name: My real name isn't Tin-Tin. That's a nickname my mother gave me even before I was born. Neat huh? My family still calls me that, but to my friends and everyone else I am K.

On Schooling: I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, got my B.A. at USC, got my J.D. at USF and finally domesticated in San Jose. I will get my M.R.S. in the very near future with the help of J, my fiance and co-adventurer.

On Travelling: In 2001, I lived in Amsterdam for a semester and travelled all around Europe. I got to go back again in 2004 while studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland. Those experiences were great because I got to check off a few places on my list of countries to visit before I die. As for tropical places, I went to the British Virgin Islands once and to the motherland, the Philippine Islands, many times.

On Puppies: For most of my life, I was deathly afraid of animals until 1999 when the love of a sharpow-chow puppy (sharpei-chow-chow mix) named Buster changed my woeful ways. Now along with a beagle named Rosco and Milo, a mut who strayed into our home and our hearts, I love dogs! Who woulda thunk it? Birds and cats...not so much.

In General: I spend my days cooking, knitting, sewing, making grocery lists, watching back episodes of travel shows, PBS cooking shows and Nigella Feasts on my TiVo and thinking about my next meal. I like to give myself projects. This blog is one of them. Thank you for your time.
